Hi, I’m Marissa. I’m the maker behind Desert Mermaid AZ, based in Cave Creek, Arizona. I create accessories inspired by the desert, the sea, and the place where those two worlds meet. Because yes, mermaids absolutely belong in the desert.

Before Desert Mermaid AZ, I spent years working as a teacher, encouraging creativity and curiosity every day. Over time, I realized I needed a creative outlet of my own—something hands-on, expressive, and a little magical. What started as a personal passion slowly grew into a brand rooted in imagination, texture, and self-expression.

Today, I bring together curated treasures, original pieces made by me, and special creations from local artists. Every item is vibe checked and mermaid approved, chosen for its energy, beauty, and individuality.
